Registered for Detroit 1/2 Marathon
I'm very excited to be running regularly again. Mel and I registered for Free Press Detroit Marathon races (1/2 for me, 5K for her). I started running again back in April in preparation for a sprint triathlon. 80 miles to date is not that impressive, but it has been accompanied by 135 miles on the bike and 75,000 yards swimming. The last two Sunday's I've gone just over 10K without issue, so I'm not worried about getting ready for the half.
I'm going to follow Hal Higdon's novice training schedule for the half. Our new neighborhood has a 3.15 mile loop. I'm going to be seeing a lot of my neighbors as the summer winds down.
